By the time you are done reading this guide you should have more self confidence, you should be knowledgeable enough to flame your way out of a situation while looking cool, and you should be able to build your e-rep easy.


Step 1.) This is one of the most important rules to being e-cool. Type properly. Do you think typing in "txt msgs" is cool? YOU THOUGHT WRONG. Compare these two sentences, "You should get off of the internet. Your trolling sucks." "u suld get off da interwebz cause u sck @ troling" Honestly, if your typing follows the second sentence, you should be the one getting off the internet. This isn't your cell phone messages, this is the real world of the internet. Just think of it, when you type properly, you make yourself look important; you give the image of a sleek, clean cut business man. If you type like a complete retard you make your self look like, well a complete retard.


Step 2.) This mainly pertains to internet forums. Using "Q4E" posts of posts that you hadn't originally posted doesn't make you look cool for agreeing with the original statement, it just makes you look like a dumb **** for not being able to come up with your own witty opinion. If you are going to make a "Q4E" post follow it by some witty image or some over used internet meme.

If someone insists on trolling you, it is not cool to get upset over them, it is cool to go along with it for a time and strike when their jokes are getting old. If this troll is experienced, like myself, and they persist there is only one thing you can do; find another person who is not as cool as you and start to lay the hammer of flame upon them, this in turn will divert the trolls actions and ultimately change the troll into a bandwagon troll which builds e-cool.


Step 6.) Emotes. These are not cool under any circumstances. If your message board or aim has these enabled, disable them at once. The worst thing next to internet memeing is seeing 10-20 little faces in your post. Stuff like ":]" or ";o" is alright to use as long as you don't use it to a repeated extent.


Step 7.) DON'T BE A WEEABOO. I cannot express this enough, but if things are "super kawaii" to you, or you understand an anime without subtitles, you in fact are a weeaboo. Don't worry it is easy to change. Burn all of your manga and wipe all of your anime off of your hard drive. If you really want to read manga and watch anime, look on the internet, it's free. Do not download any of it.

Step 10.) When choosing your online handle it would be wise to chose something that isn't going to hurt your e-rep. Stray from using numbers in your usernames and lead with an uppercase letter opposed to a lower case. Also, just because you are on a YuGiOh forum, doesn't mean you can use things like "Dark Magician Master" or "Pyrolord". If you already have an online handle and you register for a forum and the username is taken, use symbols instead of numbers, a simple tilde dot or a period could open that name up for you.
