We are in the grand age of pirates! The execution of Gol D. Roger has triggered a shift in the balance of the world, and many people are heading off to sea in search of the great treasure, One Piece!

In this grand era, many individuals have grown strong and made names for themselves. Monkey D. Luffy and his crew of Straw Hat pirates are sailing into the New World, with their heart full of dreams. But their voyage has come to an abrupt halt.

On the Shabondy archipelago, The crew has encountered the full force of the World Government. In addition, Portgas D. Ace, Luffy's brother, has been arrested and is scheduled for execution! Refusing to accept the verdict, Luffy and his crew head for Impel down, the infamous pirate prison, to free him.

This game is based on the Impel Down Arc of one piece. A war is about to occur, which will reshape the very boundaries of the known world. Expect to see a variety of participants, ranging from Strawhats, Supernova, Revolutionaries, Yonkou and Shichibukai to World Government: Who will stand victorious?

Game rules:

1. Some abilities/actions may not make sense if you are not a fan of One Piece. Here is a link to the One Piece Wiki to use as a reference guide. One Piece Wiki (http://onepiece.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page)

2. You will see that your profile has an alliance associated with it; Members of the World Government are Mafia; Everyone else is a Townie unless told otherwise.

3. Abilities will be activated as soon as the game host receives them via PM.

4. Player abilities will be revealed when they are eliminated.

5. Game days will not be dragged out. after we reach 15 players, when majority is reached, the day ends. The 24 hour rule still applies before that. But if I feel the day is dragging on, I may impose a deadline or timelimit, at which point the player with the most votes will be lynched, or if a clear plurality is not reached, the day will end in no lynch.

6. Be active! Post at least once every 24 hours. Failure to post without notification for 48 hours can and will probably result in modkill/replacement.

7. Do not post anything that has been PM'd to you in the game thread. Otherwise, feel free to claim as you will. [ex, do not post ANY part of your profile directly into the thread.]

8. Do not discuss the game outside of game thread. Only the mafia may contact each other outside the game thread.

9. violating any of these rules can and probably will result in a modkill.

10. As usual, PM the game host if you have any questions; AIM is also acceptable for questions, although I’m not on much.

Hyaku Hachi Pound Hou! the attack flies at a player! As the attack flies a player, a player won't allow it. A wall of poison appears, and blocks the attack! Zoro has now been poisoned!

Nami sees something off in the distance...she moves in for a closer look, and almost doesn't believe what she sees!

Game Update!
Luffy attacks with the fist of a Giant! His gigantic fist flies towards its target. Too bad Fleet Admiral Sengoku had predicted this kind of amateur move.
"You know what to do" Sengoku says, as Admiral Kizaru steps in front of Luffy's intended target. Kizaru activates his Yata no Kagami ability, and deflects Luffy's attack away from the Marines and toward another player!
Luffy's fist flies off into another part of the battle towards another player. Despite being a supernova, even this dark doctor couldn't see Luffy's attack coming...
Trafalgar Law (MSF) has been eliminated!
Luffy is exhausted after using Gear Third...

not much to go on other than the obvious

townies=yoy claiming cop
townies=yoy always false claims
townies=yoy therefore might actually be telling the truth
even if ZP IS scum mafia still would not know for sure if townies=yoy was telling the truth and really is cop or if it was lucky guess

There is an obv connection between voy and whatah because they started the argument. The goal of mafia imo is to start connections and conflicts between each other to confuse everyone else and direct attention to the suspicious players.

plus, imo people cannot be sure yoy is holding to his normal townie behavior during the first attack. it is the process of sending attacks out in multiple directions that he is unable to accomplish with seemingly random appearance when he is mafia due to the additional information that entails.

so the fact that yoy has so far attacked exactly 1 person ZP and then is playing the "you guys trust me" card is itself suspect. but again, that itself means nothing because the act of him asking "you guys trust me right" is in itself just a bait/trap...

and again, anyone even thinking of accusing me right now is ridiculous. as i said i am slowrolling my profile so my behavior at this moment has nothing to do with whether i am townie or mafia. at this point i am able to examine the game with perfect objectivity.

I think the reason why ur whole "I haven't looked at my profile" scheme is scummy is because it isn't the norm. In addition it is not helpful to the town and is more of a selfish gain then anything else. Anything that goes against what a normal townie would do or act is seen to me atleast as scum imo.

you are correct jim/cher, that is the valid response i have been looking for. it is entirely selfish for me to put off the moment when i know what faction i am playing for. it does townies no good to not be able to gain a legitimate rad on me, but it allows me to see who responds to an illogical situation when they honestly have no valid information to go on.

the people who attack me when they know that not even i know if i am townie/mafia show that:

a) they do not actually need information to formulate opinions
b) they have a natural bias against me
c) they might be mafia trying to throw suspicion at me
d) they dont believe that i havent read my role PM

so yes you are correct, in general theory it is borderline griefing to try to participate in the game before reading my role PM, but at the same time it lets me see people's natural reactions and playstyle when faced with a total unknown.

and i have taken the same approach in my last 3 games actually

You said earlier that the goal of mafia was to start confrontations with each other to throw the town off, but imo the role of the town is to pull as much information as you can out of people to determine their side. If you cant distinguish A from B than how can you justify your statement.

Whatah's objectiveness isn't really that odd. His recent request for Bherrell's affiliation is odd. His choices for possible players is a bit odd. It may be based on his role being staple hero/villain, ignorance, or the fact that he really hadn't looked at his profile. I'm really close to voting for you.

Endgame has some really peculiar posts. Why is everyone ignoring him? FoS Endgame.

ZeratoPrime's speculation for the player list seems more accurate based on my role, but his mafia list is a little too detailed for my liking. FoS ZeratoPrime.

Haxes seems to be agreeing in the lynch of Whatah, which makes me think Bherrell will soon claim he is also scum.

Bherrell seems townie imo, but might be scum again. His playstyle is difficult to pinpoint. Hope as well, since I have never played with them before.

The rest of the people have mostly bandwagon'd Whatah. He is probably going to die soon. We should wait for other people to join in the discussion before we reach majority.

Tammy claimed cop, the best way to test this is to vote out who ever she claimed to target. If shes telling the truth, we get a free mafia, if she was lying, then we get know shes mafia.

I don't like this at all. We have a few situations with this.

1. This is the best case scenario, Hope is actually cop and Yoy is scum. We are in a good position.

2. Yoy is townie, next day we kill Hope.

3. Yoy is our cop, and we loose a valuable asset which makes the town lose advantage if anything.

4. Yoy is townie, next day we vote hope but her mafia buds protect her.

I don't like this at all. We have a few situations with this.

1. This is the best case scenario, Hope is actually cop and Yoy is scum. We are in a good position.

2. Yoy is townie, next day we kill Hope.

3. Yoy is our cop, and we loose a valuable asset which makes the town lose advantage if anything.

4. Yoy is townie, next day we vote hope but her mafia buds protect her.

try reading the previous mafia (her name then was hitgirl) capcom mafia

her performance was entirely 1 dimensional. read a few pages starting here at post 407 (http://www.yugiohforums.com/showthread.php?t=42472&page=21) you will see in that example. wingyyys is the random newbie with the cop role coming forward and from that point forward you can see how hope played as a mafia to directly vouch for her scum buddies and directly accuse no one but townies. there is almost zero chance that mafia would use her in a false claim plot because (again i apologize but i am not trying to insult) she is so 1-dimensional and non-subtle.

and like i said, yoy usually throws "random attacks" around but he does not usual,ly come stright out and claim that they are the result of cop scans (and then change the supposed target a page later) AND then you have him playing the "ok gues i have dropped my claim and not i am going to [got to work/go to sleep/so play {newly released videogame}] so i will not be around to provide firther answeres in the immediate future. that is a scumtell.

this is a very straight forward cop claim that becomes even more obvious when considering the timeline laid out in post 137 as well as hope's mafia gameplay style

I haven't answered because I'd like to keep some cards in my hand, I don't plan on announcing to the world what I can do right off the bat. That'd make me a potential target.

I would enjoy seeing a couple post of, say logic?

This "he is prob that im not this" kind of thing relates to "I know nothing" and is most likely mafia. At this point in time, mafia people are attempting to de-promote themselves, by promoting others, which is such a flawed tactic.

Anyone with simple eyes can point out who is leading, or creating said "masons", or relations to influence voters later in the game.

Okay I would also like to say that I have a good idea on all the characters abilities, because of the updates from FC. I am also 80% sure my theory is correct now because of one of FCs updates. I can also confirm now that 90% hope is the cop. I am also 85% sure on who Haxes is. I also have reason to believe [25% as of now] that there is at least one more person with an ability similar to Haxes who has information on another persons profile.

If pawn is correct and the characters are related in someway (Friends/allies/or a group) Then it would make sense that her char is somehow linked to your two chars. If pawn could confirm that relationship I dont see why she couldnt

Would it be a bad idea to say who Hopes character is since she already claimed Cop? Or would it be a bad idea since it will give the Mafia some leads on our roles?

If pawn is correct and the characters are related in someway (Friends/allies/or a group) Then it would make sense that her char is somehow linked to your two chars. If pawn could confirm that relationship I dont see why she couldnt

Wooooooooooow..... 11 pages you guys. Damn. Sooooo.... Heres what ive collected so far.

1.) Hope is claiming and is 90% potentially our cop from an ability copy. Bherell is 50% our other cop and hit townie with his first scan (if he did, please reveal whom cause I probably missed it.)
2.) Endgame seems pretty suspect in many MANY ways. personally, I think he needs scanned/kept a HUGE eye on.
3.) Yoy is the target of a tammerz scan and we could have hit scum right off.

I LIKE where this day has started off. Trusting our potential cop here and if he turns up town, your next hope ;)
