I read the comics about a year or two ago when the movie was first announced. I wasn't aware it was so close to coming out, I'll be seeing it as soon as I can when it hits theaters.

I haven't liked Cera in anything except Arrested Development and Super Bad. I can't get over that he plays the same guy in every movie.

I will probably pass on this movie unless it gets nothing but A+ by everyone or if it turns out Cera isn't just being awkward/shy/nerd kid.

Cera fits those roles though. He's the perfect person to play them. Tbh this movie was by far the best movie I have seen in the past 4 or 5 years.

I like Michael Cera, I really don't care that he always plays the same character. Some actors are always going to play villians because they fit the role. He fits his role perfectly.

Omg, this movie was so ****ing good. Cera doesn't play his same odd, shy outcast teen in his senior year. Its so good. i loved it so much. I highly recommend it to anyone on this site.

meh, it was boring and idk. I didn't really care too much for it aside from appreciating its representation of gamer nerd culture.

However, http://video.adultswim.com/promos/scott-pilgrim-vs-the-animation.html? this video makes me wish it was an animated series instead. I enjoyed this cartoon more than I like the movie.

But that is just me. I did like the boss fights at least. I just didn't care about all the junk in between.

i saw this yesterday and LOVED it

it was like a mix of code moneys and kill bill

so much of the the tiny stuff was great. like when he went to the bathroom, ran his hands under the water for half a second then flung the water off and wiped his hands on his pants. perfect.

imo this movie was so awesome it does not surprise me that some people do not like it. when stuff is as win as this movie some people will choose or allow themselves to dislike it for several reasons

A movie needs to stand on its own. I don't expect any movies I watch based on books/comics/etc to require me to know the source material to enjoy the movie. Sure, on movies like V for Vendetta, I sometimes judge them because they change the morals/questions of a work for entertainment value, but then I am able to judge it solely based on its merit as a standalone.

Not saying I didn't enjoy the movie, I'm just saying I believed the hype (my friends + like-minded critics saying it was better than sex) and when I came out, I felt pretty ripped off.

You got your opinion. I have mine. I think we should leave it at that. :)
