But honestly, I think it's time to get a reprint of Doomcaliber Knight. I've been wanting a set of my own but people at locals are stingey or they don't have 'em.

The above cards are really the only prize cards from previous events that haven't been reprinted for the public!

That's just my theorys on it!

I mean they've covered almost every staple making them Gold Rares in the 1st 3 boxes! If anything they might do something original and put the cards I'm thinking in GS4!

there will not be mats with this release. its just something that shops are finally getting. they will get one of two mats, and hobby exclusive stores will get the third. as far as GS4, look for BoM, as well as E-blade. firewing pegasus would be dope, but not expecting. we may get something like brio, since he is not in the HA SE. i wouldnt be surprised to see infernity launcher, since they are just wierd this way. its very slightly possib;e that we get warning, but very doubtful.

Also sad for no Gold Dark Hole, Seven Tools, and Miracle Fusion (all in Turbo Pack 5, so too soon to re-reprint)...

I agree with Manju, but it's not gonna happen with Cosmo Queen. Generally with gold series commons they release a few archetypes to go with the gold rares (i.e. six samurai, blackwings, amazons).

BRD won't be reprinted as a common and I think that if there is going to be a money card reprinted in the Extreme Victory SE it's either going to be Effect Veiler or Fabled Raven.

it was also a shortprint rare. hopefully they make it a common in Gold series 4, but I doubt that it'll be in special edition. Special edition cards seem to be the really hard to get cards, with the exceptin of Duelist Rev's "drill warrior". Of course, they did reprint that in DP10, so it definately is possible.

It has it's perks! Especially when something gets mass reprinted and the price of the original copy of the card drops! That's how I've been able to get cards like Freya, Spirit of Victory and a few other secret rares that have been reprinted since 2007! Or I've come across people that randomly have something in their trade binder that I normally wouldn't expect to see on a regular basis like the TP6 ultra Toon Cannon Soldier I got last year! Plus the trading I've done on YF for the past 2 years has helped considerably! I would really have to recommend this forum for anyone who hasn't online traded b4!

Konami won't put a lot of higher-end cards in a gold series since then people will be less inclined to go out and get the booster packs that have those specific cards. Dandylion and Lonefire have been reprinted, but I think it's too early for Glow-Up Bulb. I can see bulb being a SE card in ~6 months, but people will have already started the transitions away from synchros by then.


I hope I get a GLD Royal and Doomcaliber.

I don't see Brionac getting reprinted since Konami will need a money card in each of the Hidden Arsenals for people to still go out and buy them. If any of the three big synchros from HA01 (I count Mist Wurm in that) I think it would be Catastor.

Darksoul might get a reprint here to compliment the emmersblade coming in HASE.

I don't really see how this is considered 'lack-lustered'. Just because there's not a handful of $30+ cards in it doesn't make it terrible. I could see Darksoul being reprinted, but I wouldn't expect it. Here are some cards I could see being reprinted:

Black Rose Dragon
XX-Saber Hyunlei
XX-Saber Darksoul
Chain Disappearance
Royal Tribute
Overdrive Teleporter

I would not expect any gold rares from DREV, STBL, STOR or EXVC.

Overdrive Teleporter would do nicely, with the release of the new psychics. Dissaperance would also be cool, since it is now a staple side. I do think Black Rose is going to be gold too, since she is a staple synchro, and she has had no reprint in a long time CT05 and CSOC only???), Royal Tribute also deserves a reprint, since it was only done in DR1, and part of Gold Series is to bling out decks anyways.

If anything they'll do Gold Lumina and Ryko. I would love to see this happen too because all there is now is a $40 super. But the Lightsworn stuff is a bit different than the blackwing stuff because most of the Blackwings you mentioned were commons and rares in their original sets. Armed Wing was a Super and Armor Master was an Ultra/Ulti. By your logic, we'd probably see Ryko which I wouldn't mind at all. Mainly because he's a great card that's good in a great deal of decks and if Envoy comes back, he'll be amazing in Chaos.

all the gold rares are viable and fit with the meta- I just don't know if it's worth it for the $30 price tag. The mat is nice but I doubt many people will buy more than one pack. I was going to get a box and split it with a friend. Probably won't now unless they have something ridiculous like common lyla or something.

The set really has a nice assortment of Gold Rares. Let's just hope that there will be at least a few really good commons. I am just not crazy about the $30 price tag. I really wish there would be an optional no-mat box. That way if you want the mat, you can pay $30 and get the cards and a mat (not a bad deal), but if you didn't want the mat, you could pay $20 and just get the cards (if you are buying multiple boxes, you probably don't want to have to pay for multiple mats).

I realize that one could buy multiple boxes then attempt to sell the extra mats, but I don't think this is really going to be a viable option (at least for the time being), because most people who want the mat would probably prefer to shell out the $30 to get the mat and cards, rather than buy the may by itself for $10-15.
