that or use a combination of throwing your opponent off by playing monster gate, reasoning to make your opponent guess incorrectly and using things like gilasaurus and nimble to get out 3 tributes each for all three gods.

so, do win conditions activate after card effects are finished? Im pretty sure that is the case.
I mean this as in you activate upstart goblin and draw the last piece of exodia, u win as soon as upstart is resolved?

Yes. In the exodia case. When upstart resolves and you have all 5 pieces of exodia in your hand the win condition for Exodia The Forbidden one will automatically resolve resulting in you winning the duel.
