Getting in contact with aznyugininjas, Invert, and any other members KON banned with 200 point infractions without warning to apologize for their abrupt ban. Pretty pissed at KON, and I need to go to work soon, so I've removed him from staff atm. I'll leave it to either BP or Sayo to decide whether it's worth re-instating him; this kind of attitude really pisses me off though.

I don't think I'm in the wrong about banning people who register with the sole intention of advertising their stupid Youtube channels or whatever. Closing the Ryko thread was bad judgment on my part, so I apologize for that, but I can't tolerate spammers who come in, drop a link, and then leave, until the next time they want to drop a link. Also, I don't use AIM.

A quick edit of their post and maybe a Warning at worst is more than enough for people who are here just to advertise. They usually don't hang around long enough to make their attempts to advertise worthwhile anyway.

This is not any of the communities you've previously staffed in. The standard procedure is a Warning/Minor Infraction at most for first offences, with future offences accumulating to a Standard Infraction at most for the majority of cases. Moderator discretion doesn't give you the freedom give 200-point Infractions for a minor offence such as this.

Theoretically, 'moderator discretion' should give me the freedom to hand out 200 point infractions to spammers, but, in this case, it doesn't, for some undocumented reason. In any case, I'm not a moderator here anymore, nor do I want to be again, so this thread can be locked. If you want to discuss this further, we'll do it by PM.
